We've got another major development regarding the NHL season as commissioner Gary Bettman told reporters that the season will be completed.
There was some uncertainty about the fate of the season when several players had been reluctant to start again in July, but the commissioner seems determined to go ahead and finish the regular season.
Bettman made his remarks during a meeting with the San Jose Sharks and said that he was not against the idea of delaying the start of the 2020-2021 season to ensure that the playoffs were finished. and that could be in August or September.
He said canceling the 2019-20 season wasn't even a thought.
It will be extremely interesting to see when training camps open, but it is likely that we will see players training again in early June.
Are you happy to hear that the NHL plans to finish the 2019-2020 season this summer?
NHL commissioner Gary Bettman reportedly said during a virtual town hall Tuesday that shutting down the 2019-20 season and not handing out the Stanley Cup is “not something I’m even contemplating.”https://t.co/MXsyaMzY2P
