When the NHL and NHLPA decided to postpone their playoff games last night and tonight, it set off a storm on social media.

While the majority of people supported the decision, the people who didn't were of course the loudest with complaints left and right.

A small group of the NHL fanbase were extremely upset and said they would boycott the NHL moving forward.

Boston Bruins' Brad Marchand tried to explain how sport wasn't as important as what's going on in the world.

"Sports, it’s a luxury. It’s a luxury to watch this game, to play this game. ... I understand people want to watch the games and I understand people want to see this, but it’s too bad."

The NHL will resume playoff action Saturday.
