It was a bit of a quiet NHL trade deadline but it ended with a bang.
In a last minute deal the Washington Capitals landed forward Anthony Mantha from the Detroit Red Wings.
In return the Red Wings get Jakub Vrana, Richard Panik a 1st round and 2nd pick.
It's quite the haul for Mantha who's signed for three more years at $5.7million a season. The 26 year old currently has 11 goals and 10 assists in 42 games for the dismal Red Wings.
The Red Wings will get Vrana as the key piece in the deal with the 25 year old having scored 24 and 25 goals in his two previous seasons and 11 in 39 games this season.
