There was plenty of speculation regarding the future of Henrik Zetterberg.
That speculation has come to an end.
Red Wings general manager Ken Holland has confirmed that Zetterberg will retire as he can no longer play hockey due to health issues.
It stems from a back condition despite Zetterberg playing all 82 games last year.
Despite playing the full season, there was definitely something wrong as Zetterberg only put up 11 goals but still registered 45 assists.
Henrik Zetterberg’s career is over due to his back condition, GM Ken Holland announced today. #RedWings
