The Carolina Hurricanes finally got the deal done that they were hoping for.
The Hurricanes shipped Justin Faulk out to the St. Louis Blues for a fifth round pick.
Faulk had a trade clause and had pretty much blocked a trade to Anaheim because they wouldn't give him the extension he was looking for.
However the Blues did the opposite and signed him to a seven year deal with an AAV of $6.5million.
Justin Faulk has agreed to a seven-year contract extension with the Blues. https://t.co/muPb1xWQmR #stlblues
