It's been the most talked about incident around the hockey world for the last 48 hrs.
The back and forth between Edmonton Oilers forward Zack Kassian and Calgary Flames forward Matthew Tkachuk during the two teams game on the weekend.
Tkachuk was hunting down Kassian all game with some borderline hits and after one headshot Kassian decided he had enough and went straight after Tkachuk. The Oilers' forward absolutely pummelled Tkachuk with punches.
Lots of former NHLers, including Teemu Selanne, spoke up and felt Tkachuk should face discipline and Kassian was just defending himself.
After deciding that Tkachuk wouldn't face discipline, the NHL Department of Player Safety decided that Kassian deserved a different fate.
Kassian has been suspended for two games.
Two-game suspension for Zack Kassian.
