After being coveted by multiple teams, free agent defenseman Sami Vatanen has got himself a one year deal.
While he was coveted by various teams including the Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers, Vatanen decided to sign a one year deal to stay with the New Jersey Devils for $2million.
Vatanen split last season between the Devils and Carolina Hurricanes but only played a regular season game with the Devils before making his Hurricanes debut during the bubble playoffs where he registered three assists in seven games.
