As we approach the NHL trade deadline, activity is starting to heat up across the league.
We had the Buffalo Sabres ship Eric Staal off to the Montreal Canadiens last week followed by the New York Rangers shipping gritty forward Brendan Lemieux to the Los Angeles Kings on the weekend.
The Kings threw their hat into the ring again today as they hooked up with the Ottawa Senators for a deal.
Los Angeles shipped off forward Mike Amadio to the Senators for defenseman Christian Wolanin.
Wolanin had trouble fitting into the Senators but should find a spot on the Kings.
Amadio meanwhile will return home so to speak as a native of Ontario.
