Just when everything seemed ready to go for the start of the NHL season, things might be falling apart.
This week we saw the Columbus Blue Jackets shut down activities because of a possible COVID-19 outbreak, than the Dallas Stars followed suit with six players testing positive and the start to their NHL season postponed.
It didn't stop there as the Pittsburgh Penguins were forced to cancel practice on Saturday because of potential COVID-19 exposure and now a fourth team has joined the mix.
On Sunday the Vancouver Canucks announced that practice and workouts were canceled because a potential COVID-19 exposure.
With four teams already behind the ball, a delayed started to the season has been floated out there.
More to come.
A few NHL execs have wondered if it would have better to start the season Feb 1 in anticipation of something like this. Not sure a delayed start would make a difference. https://t.co/0vyooll5Ef
