In a completely shocking move on Tuesday, Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman has stepped down from his position.
According to Joe Smith of The Athletic, Yzerman held a meeting with his players today to let them know of the move first.
He'll be stepping aside into an advisory role and assistant Julien Brisebois will take over as GM.
It's Yzerman's last year under contract with the Lightning, could he already have a new job lined up?
More to come.
