The revolving door of coaching positions continues to make noise just a couple of days after the end of the NHL season.

Earlier this morning the Florida Panthers announced that they had hired Joel Quenneville as head coach and it looks like another top candidate is off the market.

Former Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks head coach Todd McLellan was expected to draw lots of interest and that's certainly the case.

The coach has been linked to both the Flyers and Kings however has decided to go in a different direction.

According to Eric Duhatschek of The Athletic, McLellan will become the next head coach of the Buffalo Sabres.

More to come.
