The Edmonton Oilers need to make some changes if they want any chance at making the Stanley Cup playoffs.

After making a nice run in the playoffs last year, the Oilers have found themselves back in familiar territory in the basement of the league.

Hoping to find something, Oilers general manager Peter Chiarelli sent out a league wide email stating that forward Anton Slepyshev is available and on the trade block.

The Russian forward has struggled to really find his footing in the NHL bouncing between the league and the AHL the last couple of years.

Drafted in the 3rd round of the 2013 NHL Draft, Slepyshev has just three points in 18 games so far this season and 14 points in 70 career NHL games.

The 23 year old has been a healthy scratch at times this season and also missed time due to a lower body injury. In the final year of his entry level contract, he could be an interesting gamble for a team that needs some depth up front.
