Another summer and another large amount of Phil Kessel trade rumors it seems.

Last summer we heard for about a month that Kessel would be headed to Arizona to join Rick Tocchet and the Coyotes.

The trade ended up falling through and Pittsburgh Penguins GM Jim Rutherford decided to give his core group another chance.

However this summer Rutherford has made it clear that some big changes are coming and it looks like Kessel will likely be one of those changes.

Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reported on his latest 31 Thoughts Podcast that a trade could likely go down between the Penguins and Minnesota Wild.

Going the other way?

Friedman says it would likely be Jason Zucker who the insider adds his time in Minnesota has run out.

"Zucker I think is all but gone. I think they’re going to look to do some things.”
“I think one interesting offseason question is, ‘Does Phil Kessel want to play in Minnesota?’ I could see that.”
“Pittsburgh needs scoring, there’s a Kessel for Zucker deal there that makes sense.”

Do you think a Zucker for Kessel trade makes sense?
