Many thought the Vegas Golden Knights hot start would be quickly squashed when they lost the top three goaltenders in the organization to injury all within day of each other in October.
The Knights have done well with the goaltending tandem of Maxime Lagace and Dylan Ferguson and are currently in second place of the Pacific Division and just four points behind the first place Los Angeles Kings.
Things are getting better in the Vegas crease as Malcolm Subban was the first injured net minder to return back on November 24 and has four of his first six games back after missing over a month with a lower-body injury.
Now they could be getting the services of three time Stanley Cup winner Marc-Andre Fleury in the very near future. Fleury has been out since October 13 with a concussion, but he was back on the practice with the Golden Knights on Wednesday, according to David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Very few people predicted the Golden Knights to be in the playoff race two months into their first season and having Fleury and Subban in goal will go a long way in keeping them in the race.
