After former general manager Peter Chiarelli created a mess for the Edmonton Oilers, the Oilers decided Ken Holland was the man to clean it up.

Holland has quite the work ahead as the Oilers only have 10 players signed for next year and $23million in cap space.

The Oilers need help in lots of areas, they need some secondary scoring, some talent on the blueline and possibly a culture change in the dressing room.

A major roster restructure is coming and Allan Mitchell of The Athletic believes that could include moving two big names before the trade deadline.

Mitchell writes that Holland will likely start taking offers on forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins as well as defenseman Adam Larsson.

Nugent-Hopkins has two years left on his deal worth $6million a season while Larsson has two years left on his deal worth $4.16million a season.

Neither has any sort of trade protection.
