There's still some pretty big name restricted free agents that haven't been re-signed by their respective teams yet.
Of course Mitch Marner tops the list but he's not the only elite youngster still unsigned.
Along with Marner there's Brayden Point, Mikko Rantanen, Matthew Tkachuk, Kyle Connor, Patrik Laine, Brock Boeser, Travis Konecny, Zack Werenski, Ivan Provorov and Charlie McAvoy.
In total there's still 33 restricted free agents left unsigned and some are hoping to play for other teams and one of the elite ones might not want to move but is prepared to.
Winnipeg Jets sniper Patrik Laine spoke with Chris Johnston of Sportsnet recently and revealed the Jets haven't spoken to his agent in over two months.
Laine also implied that he's prepared and open to playing hockey somewhere else next season.
"Well you never know. It’s still business, you’ve got to be prepared for anything," Laine said Friday. "But yeah, you never know where you’re going to play next year so I’m just prepared for anything."
He's not angry with the Jets but is just being realistic as the Jets also have to sign Connor.
"Well I’ve got nothing bad to say about Winnipeg, you know? It’s been good so far. But you never know, so that’s kind of my comments."
