The St. Louis Blues hit the ice last night for a game against the Anaheim Ducks but dropped the game in overtime. 

Before the games the Blues made some waves with a pretty significant healthy scratch. 

It was announced that forward Mike Hoffman was a healthy scratch for the game. 

After not having the offseason he wanted where he only landed a one year deal worth $4million, he hasn't exactly had the season he wanted either. 

The 31 year old has 8 goals in 33 games so far this season along with 12 assists but has hit a slump lately with 0 points in his last 5 games. 

Hoffman's one year deal doesn't carry any trade protection so it's more than likely he'll be on his way out before the deadline.
