Thanks to COVID running across the NHL once again during the last month or so we haven't seen much trade activity.
Teams are scared regarding what their roster might look like on any given day and have been hesitant to make moves.
However that should clear up soon and we'll start to see some action.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman believes pretty strongly about what the first big trade of 2022.
Friedman believes Arizona Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun will be on the move sooner than later.
Chychrun was placed on the trade block before the holidays and according to reports the Coyotes are looking for four assets in return.
The 23 year old has a very affordable contract which carries an AAV of $4.6million through the 2024-25 season.
