We're getting closer and closer to the NHL trade deadline and things are starting to boil.
It's an extremely interesting deadline this year because not many teams will have money around to sign their UFA's during the offseason so that means we could see a couple more rental trades than usual.
One player who fits that description is New Jersey Devils' forward Kyle Palmieri.
The long time consistent goal scorer has been loyal to the Devils over the years but as we all know it's a business and now it's time for the two sides to move on.
NHL insider Pierre LeBrun reports on Saturday that the two sides have tried to iron out an extension but it's just not happening.
LeBrun adds that he believes we'll see a trade in the coming days.
The 30 year old has been linked to the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Islanders, Edmonton Oilers, Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins.
You never know how these things go at the 11th hour, but my gut feeling is there won't be an extension. I see a trade coming. https://t.co/p1gHJ1alou
