The NHL and it's Department of Player Safety have made a ruling in regards to a knee on knee hit which occurred recently.
Los Angeles Kings forward Dustin Brown has been suspended for his knee on knee hit on Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev.
The Department of Player Safety has decided a one game suspension was enougth for the hit.
The play happened during Saturday's games and Sergachev while he did leave the game for awhile, he eventually came back.
This is the second time Brown has been suspended recently after cross checking Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Justin Schultz.
He was fined for $10000, the maximum allowed suspension length which will equal to about $31000 in actually salary loss.
Brown is eligible to return Feb. 15 when the Kings take on the Penguins.
