There's been some pretty big movement regarding the restricted free agent landscape over the last couple of days.
While things look to be on the up & up regarding most of the remaining RFA's, one player who doesn't look any closer to signing a new deal is Patrik Laine.
The Jets' forward is currently practicing with SC Bern of the Swiss National League and doesn't look like he's headed back to Canada anytime soon.
There's been reports that the Jets are currently lowballing Laine, and Laine feels like the Jets set him up for a low contract offer.
"When you're having contract negotiations, one thing always is who are you playing with. With the merits I have, somewhere else I'd have an opportunity to play with the best players. Everybody who understands hockey knows that."
On any other team Laine feels he would be on the top line but is on the back burner in Winnipeg.
"There are top lines and then there is our line. But I play with the guys I'm told to play."
