Yesterday we got news that it seems the drama between the Winnipeg Jets and Dustin Byfuglien is coming to an end.

According to a report from TSN's Frank Seravalli, the Jets and Byfuglien will agree to mutually terminate his contract which will give the Jets some much needed cap space and Byfuglien the opportunity to retire or join another team.

After practice today the media asked some of the Jets' players about the situation.

Jets' forward Patrik Laine didn't hold back his opinion.

"He makes a lot of money, and boy, if he doesn't want to play we probably could have used it for something else. But that's just the way it goes sometimes... that can't be an excuse."

Interesting to hear Laine go with the non-PR answer and kind of call his former teammate out.

What do you think of Laine's comments?
