After making the Stanley Cup Finals a couple of years ago, the Nashville Predators have been pretty disappointing.
General manager David Poile stays active in trying to help his team get better and it sounds like he's not too happy about one of his big offseason signings.
Matt Duchene was arguably the biggest name on the free agent market last year and Poile traded PK Subban to have the available salary to sign Duchene.
The Preds are currently down 2-1 in their series against the Arizona Coyotes and Duchene has just one assist in three games.
That prompted Poile to call him out publicly when speaking to the media for not only his playing but for ducking the media since the start of the playoffs.
“When Matt Duchene becomes available to the media and I have no idea why he hasn’t been available to the media, he will tell everyone about his disappointment.”
"I'm not alibi-ing for him. He hasn't played well and he's got to play better, period."
