The Detroit Red Wings continue to be stuck in their rebuild mode.

The team has a couple of young forwards coming through the pipeline which will give general manager Ken Holland a chance to move some vets.

One of those will likely be Gustav Nyquist.

Even though the 28 year old has put up seasons of 27 and 28 goals, the forward has never reached the 30 goal mark the Wings were hoping for.

Ansar Khan of MLIVE recently wrote that Nyquist will likely be moved to a playoff contender sometime during the season. The forward does hold a no trade clause, but will likely be willing to waive it to move to a playoff contender around the deadline, he'll also be UFA after this season.

Nyquist put up 21 goals and 19 assists last year for the Wings while playing the full 82 games.

The fourth round pick from 2008 can play all three forward positions and possibly find his scoring touch with a more talented top six than he currently has.
