The Detroit Red Wings are a total disaster this year and much like the New Jersey Devils the team could be ready to sell off some pieces.

For the second year in a row, the Red Wings are trying to trade defenseman Mike Green and he might not be the only guy on the block.

According to a couple of reports including one by Ansar Khan of MLive, it seems that Red Wings' general manager Steve Yzerman doesn't see Andreas Athanasiou as part of the Wings future.

The 25 year old will be an arbitration eligible restricted free agent after this season and will likely see a pretty nice pay raise.

Yzerman has 12 other restricted free agents due for a new contract after this season in the organization.

Anthanasiou has struggled this season with just five goals in 31 games and registering a +/- of -35 so far this year after registering 30 goals in 76 games last year.

The 2012 fourth round pick carries a cap hit of $3million.
