The NHL free agent market has slowed down significantly, however there's still some pretty big names left on the board.

One of those names is veteran forward Corey Perry.

Perry proved that he's still got some juice left in the tank enjoying a very solid run with the Dallas Stars during the playoffs.

While he'll never be a 50 goal scorer again, the 35 year old's game does translate well for the playoffs.

That's what makes his possible latest home a bit of a head scratcher.

According to TSN's Frank Seravalli, the Ottawa Senators have been discussing a contract with Perry. The Sens weren't anywhere close to a playoff team last year, however they've made some big signings this year and if everything goes right could have them fighting for a Wild Card spot.

It would likely be a one year deal if he signs with the Sens.

Do you think Ottawa is a good fit for the gritty forward?
