It's been a quiet last couple of days around the NHL.
There's still some pretty significant free agents around and teams with no cap space so there's still some movement bound to happen.
It's the likely scenario where one move happens and then we get flooded with some trades and signings.
The Calgary Flames might be the team to start it all off.
While we've heard that they've been shopping forward Johnny Gaudreau, they might actually ship out one of their defenseman first.
According to Jimmy Murphy of Boston Hockey Now, the Flames are currently in discussion with four teams regarding young blueliner Noah Hanifin.
Murphy reports that the Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings and Columbus Blue Jackets are all currently in negotiations to try and land Hanifin.
The 23 year old lefty is signed through the 2023-24 season with an AAV of $4.95million.
