The trade deadline is getting closer and closer and we're starting to get a better picture of what every team is looking to do.
The Carolina Hurricanes are trying to make a playoff push once again and currently hold one of the Wild Card spots.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman the reports are looking for help up front and have put up a handful of defenseman on the trade block.
Friedman says the team is willing to trade any defenseman not named Dougie Hamilton, Brett Pesce or Jaccob Slavin.
That means the team would be willing to move Jake Gardiner, Joel Edmundson, Trevor van Riemsdyk and likely even Haydn Fleury.
Things might change after an official review of Dougie Hamilton's status after taking a tough fall last night but the Hurricanes need some help up front and are willing to make a move.
