The Carolina Hurricanes had a very busy summer and it's not over yet.
Just a couple of days after signing defenseman Jake Gardiner to a four year contract, it seems they're preparing to move another one out of town.
According to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, the Hurricanes are currently working on a deal that would send Justin Faulk to the Anaheim Ducks.
The hold up is that Faulk has a modified no trade clause that features Anaheim as one of his no trade teams.
Friedman adds that the Ducks are willing to sign Faulk to a long term contract extension for the trade to go through as Faulk will be UFA next summer.
Faulk has a partial NTC — which lists the Ducks — and it is believed ANA wishes to pursue an extension. No one will comment on the likelihood of it occurring, but it has been intensely discussed
