Things are heating up when it comes to the NHL trade market and we saw the New Jersey Devils make a pair of moves yesterday.
The Devils acquired a 2020 first round pick, a 2021 second round pick along with prospects Nolan Foote and David Quenneville as they shipped off Blake Coleman and Andy Greene in separate trades.
With the New York Islanders acquiring Greene, that's one less team that needs a defenseman and the Los Angeles Kings have decided to lower their price on one of their trade chips.
Kings defenseman Alec Martinez is expected to be shipped off at the deadline and it looks like the Kings asking price of a first round pick has been lowered.
A source has told The Athletic that the Kings are now likely willing to accept two second round picks and a prospect in a package.
Carolina, Vegas, Toronto and Winnipeg have been linked to Martinez throughout the season.
The 32 year old is signed through the 2020-21 season with an AAV of $4million.
