The Toronto Maple Leafs are putting together some changes on the ice, and they've also made some changes behind the bench.

General manager Kyle Dubas moved out all of head coach Sheldon Keefe's assistant besides Dave Hakstol and it seems they're getting close to bringing another former head coach on board.

We've heard chatter about the Leafs bringing Bruce Boudreau on board and it sounds like they're getting close.

According to reports, the Leafs have had discussions with Boudreau and Boudreau himself said recently that he would only take an assistant job with one team and that team is the Leafs.

There's no head coaching jobs left and the only way for Boudreau to get back behind a bench at the moment would be with the Leafs.

He would have high salary expectations but that shouldn't be a problem for MLSE.
