Things continue to crumble in Ottawa.
The team has lost Dion Phaneuf, Jonathan Dahlen, Kyle Turris, and Erik Karlsson all within almost a year of making the Stanley Cup Finals.
Now it looks like the team could be losing another key piece.
According to Louis Jean of TVA Sports, Mark Stone has made it clear that he no longer wants to play in Ottawa.
The situation has become so desperate in Ottawa that Jean adds the team is willing to give Stone the captaincy just to try and get him to stay.
The team signed Stone to a one year $7.35million contract this offseason.
