We heard this week that the Tampa Bay Lightning are in a really tough spot and there's some moves coming.
NHL insider Renaud Lavoie reported that the Lightning will be forced to make two blockbuster trades to get under the salary cap before the season starts.
While we wait to see what those trade might be, two player agents believe the Toronto Maple Leafs will be in the same position next year.
Craig Custance of The Athletic sent a survey to 21 high profile player agents across the league and according to at least two of them, Toronto Maple Leafs' forward Mitch Marner will likely be traded.
Check out the comments from two anonymous agents.
"I’d say Mitch Marner," said the first agent. "They shouldn’t have signed John Tavares. His skating is declining every year. They should have just focused on the two younger kids and used the money elsewhere. I know it’s great to have the two centers … but you can’t have three players making over $10 million."
"Taylor Hall? Actually, I’m going go way off and say Mitch Marner."
Will this be Marner's final season in a Leafs' uniform?
