It's been a roller coaster of an offseason for San Jose Sharks' forward Evander Kane.

A divorce, gambling accusations and stories of how his fellow Sharks' players don't want him back.

It seems they won't see him back for awhile.

According to NHL insider Nick Kypreos, the NHL is planning to suspend Kane.

"It’s sounds like the NHL is leaning towards suspending San Jose Sharks' Evander Kane under supplementary discipline ( 18- 18A of the CBA.  After serving his set amount of games it’s likely he’ll be clear to resume his career. "

Kane was left off the Sharks roster to start the season despite still being a member of the team.

Will be an interesting story to follow as the Sharks open their season Saturday.
