The Ottawa Senators and general manager Pierre Dorion continue to work hard to try and get a very important piece of their future locked up.

Restricted free agent and franchise player Brady Tkachuk has yet to sign a new deal.

While Dorion is working on getting Tkachuk signed, it sounds like he's also working on a possible trade.

Speculation has started to grow that the Senators are looking to move on from forward Connor Brown who's signed through the 2022-23 season at a very easy to swallow AAV of $3.6million.

Brown has been a very productive forward for the Sens including 21 goals in 56 games last year.

After four seasons in Toronto he's been very productive in Ottawa.

Reports earlier this offseason had him linked to a possible deal with the New York Rangers where the Rangers would acquire Ryan Strome.
