When the Montreal Canadiens traded Nathan Beaulieu, it caused a large amount of debate.
Some believed they had given up on the defenseman too early and didn't get enough from the Buffalo Sabres when all they got was a third round pick, while others were done with him.
The youngster was given two chances to play beside Shea Weber and wasn't able to keep the spot, even though, some analysts like Pierre McGuire predicted he would break out in Buffalo.
Well that's been far from the case and Beaulieu wants to move on.
The 26 year old has only played in half of he Sabres games so far this season and wants more ice time, something the Sabres aren't willing to give him at all.
Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reported that Beaulieu has officially requested a trade out of Buffalo.
Nathan Beaulieu made a trade request to the Sabres management. Not playing much and it’s a contract year.
