The New Jersey Devils currently sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings just three points ahead of the last place Detroit Red Wings.
Things aren't going the way they were supposed to and it's becoming pretty clear that Taylor Hall will likely test the market during free agency next summer.
Jersey will try and get some assets for him while they can and Dan Rosen of NHL.com tackled the situation.
Rosen says that in an ideal world the Devils would like to land a young NHL ready defenseman along with a high pick or prospect.
However Rosen makes it clear that might be too much and the Devils will likely have to settle for a first round pick along with a later round pick and prospect.
Among the teams that Rosen mentions could land Hall are Colorado Avalanche, New York Islanders, Calgary Flames, Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers and Montreal Canadiens.
