The Pittsburgh Penguins are trying to move a handful of players this offseason as they reset for next year.

One player who is definitely on his way out is goalie Matt Murray.

He was almost included in the Kasperi Kapanen deal however his expected salary arbitration request was too high for Toronto’s liking.

According to NHL insider Pierre LeBrun the Edmonton Oilers have also been interested in acquiring Murray.

However they backed off for a decent reason.

LeBrun adds the current asking price to acquire Murray is a first round pick and that was simply too pricey for Edmonton considering there will be other options during free agency.

Do you think Murray is worth a first?
