As we near the official halfway mark of the season for most NHL teams, we've already seen more coach firings than we did last year.
Todd McLellan was fired by the Oilers, John Stevens fired by the Kings, Joel Quenneville fired by the Blackhawks, Dave Hakstol was fired by the Flyers and Mike Yeo was let go by the Blues.
Well it seems we now know who the next one up on the hot seat might be.
According to Kevin Weekes of the NHL network, Anaheim Ducks head coach Randy Carlyle could be on his last legs in Anaheim.
The team heads into Wednesday's game against the Ottawa Senators having lost eight games in a row and are literally playing themselves out of a playoff spot.
Right now they sit in the second Wild Card spot with 45 points only one point ahead of the Vancouver Canucks and two points ahead of the Minnesota Wild and Edmonton Oilers.
It's Carlyle's second stint with the Ducks after a stop in Toronto in between.
Eyes on @AnaheimDucks . Down 4-0 to the @EdmontonOilers. Should they lose tonight,it will be their 8th straight loss. Hearing there could be a potential Coaching change in the near future. @NHL @NHLNetwork .
