The Vancouver Canucks currently sit one point out of a Wild Card spot in the Western Conference, a lot better than many predicted before the season.
The team was in a playoff spot a couple of weeks ago, then fell out of race and have now surged back into it.
During that time forward Nikolay Goldobin has been shuffled around the lineup and could find himself shuffled off the team in coming weeks.
According to Elliotte Friedman in his latest "31 Thoughts" column, the Canucks have been looking to move Goldobin even though the forward is on pace for the best season of his career.
The 23 year old is currently the Canucks fourth best scorer with 23 points in 41 games.
Despite his new found success, Goldobin was made a healthy scratch against the Senators recently.
