There wasn't much action on the NHL slate last night however the two games that did go down were absolutely great.
The Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Montreal Canadiens in a battle for top spot of the Canadian division, while the Boston Bruins held on to beat the New York Rangers 3-2 in overtime.
Some say, if it wasn't for NBC analyst Pierre McGuire the Rangers might have actually shut out the Bruins.
McGuire was having an absolute love fest over the Rangers defense half way through the second period saying it was possibly the best defensive game the Rangers have played all season.
What happened of course?
The Bruins immediately scored a short handed goal just as McGuire was finishing up his love fest.
