The Winnipeg Jets laid an absolute beat down on the Calgary Flames last night.
After a tight first period which saw the Jets skate away with a 2-1 lead but pulled away in the second period and didn't look back.
During that tight first period the Flames actually jumped out to a 1-0 lead however it seems one play and possibly blown call by the refs changed the momentum of the game.
Jets' forward Pierre-Luc Dubois hit Flames' defenseman Christopher Tanev behind the net and dumped him behind the boards.
Many believed it was easily a boarding call.
After the hit, Flames' defenseman Noah Hanifin jumped in for his teammate and took down Dubois and a melee broke out.
When all was said and done it was only Hanifin who received a two minute penalty for roughing which completely changed the game.
